Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar for 2–3 minutes, until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then mix in vanilla.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined — do not overmix.
Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing cookies about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and the centers still look soft.
Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
